A night to remember

As the clock ticks past 9:30 pm, I find myself waiting for a train at strathfield station. Now, being home by 6pm most days has led me to believe that life is confined to the indoors as soon as the sun sets. I was proven completely wrong tonight.

Platform 6 was unusually crowded with all kinds of people.... those that looked like they had just finished work... some straight from the bar... freshies yapping in hindi like there is no tomorrow.... a women cryin on the pay phone... oh and musn't forget the random kids talking about drugs, alcohol and whos party to go to or ditch!

Waiting with a baterry dead mobile phone, a bunch of fobs staring me down and a stomach growling of hunger.... ahhh some one replace this nightmare! So in the cold i waited with my dollar coin ready to use the payphone, unluckily a short indian woman was already using it. She leant on one side with her hands constantly moving, voice shaky and eyes watery... oh... slowly moving away i used another pay phone to contact amma and tell her my situation.

Finally getting of at Westmead as discussed with amma, i saw my dad waiting for me.... ahhh almost home. once i got home the kitchen was attacked and my stomach satisified.. and so i can say with full meaning HOME SWEET HOME!

so what do we learn from this? NO LATE NIGHT TRAIN RIDES... NEVER!!! sydney is not a safe place anymore...
